2.24.010 - Established.¶
There is established a planning commission in and for the city.

2.24.020 - Composition—Members—Appointment—Terms of office.¶
The planning commission shall consist of seven members, the majority of whom shall be persons who are not officials of the city. Two of the members can be from within the city's sphere of influence; with interests or property within the city's limits. The members of the planning commission shall be appointed by the mayor, with the approval of the city council. Such members shall be appointed for terms of four years. The terms of office of advisory members of the planning commission shall correspond to their respective official tenures.

2.24.030 - Members—Removal—Filling of vacancies.¶
Any appointed member of the planning commission may be removed by the mayor with the approval of the city council. If a vacancy shall occur in the planning commission otherwise than by expiration of a term, it shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired portion of the term.

2.24.040 - Members—Compensation—Voting privileges.¶
Members of the planning commission who are not officials or employees of the city may receive reasonable traveling expenses for travel performed on planning commission duties from funds allocated to the commission. All members shall have the privilege to vote.

2.24.050 - Planning commission delegates—Historical structure(s).¶
The chair of the planning commission shall, with one other commissioner, serve as delegates for the purpose of historical structure(s) review.

2.24.051 - Staff support—Planning commission and historical district delegates.¶
All city staff shall provide normal functions in support of delegates.

2.24.060 - Powers and duties.¶
The powers, functions and duties of the planning commission shall be such as are specified for such a commission in this code, and/or by state law.
