14.20.010 - Permit for installation—Conformance of connection to water supply.¶
A. A permit shall be required for the installation of any evaporative or refrigerative type of air cooler and an inspection fee of one dollar shall be charged by the building inspector of the city for the permit; provided, however, a permit shall not be required for air coolers not connected to the sanitary sewer or storm drain system.
B. Any connection to the domestic water supply shall conform with the provisions of the plumbing code in effect at the time the evaporative or refrigerative type air cooler is installed.

14.20.020 - Effluent to be recirculated.¶
On and after June 15, 1962, it is unlawful to operate either an evaporative or a refrigerative type of air cooler within the city regardless of the time when the evaporative or refrigerative cooler has first been constructed, built or installed, so that the effluent thereof shall enter either the storm or sanitary drain system of the city, but on and after June 15, 1962, the cooler must be so arranged or constructed so that the cooling water or other effluent used therein can be reused and recirculated by some mechanical means to be approved by the building inspector of the city.

14.20.030 - Violation—Penalties.¶
Any person violating any of the provisions, terms or conditions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished as provided in Chapter 1.16.
