2-1.1 Time and Place of Regular Meetings. ¶
The Town Council shall hold all regular meetings at the Town Meeting Hall located at 201 Front Street in Danville. (Ord. #2, § 1; Ord. #12, § 1; Ord. #89-17, § 1)
2-1.2 Change of Meeting Place. ¶
If the regular meeting place is unable to accommodate the number of persons in attendance, the Council may recess the meeting to another place. if the Council anticipates the regular meeting place will be inadequate, the Council, or the Mayor in the event of an emergency, may order that the meeting be held in another place. 2-1.3 Compensation of Town Council. ¶
a. Authority for Enactment. This section is enacted under the authority of Government Code Sections 36516 and 36516.5.
b. Salary. The salary for each member of the Town Council shall be set at $1,387 per month, payable at the same time and in the same manner as the salary paid to employees of the Town. This salary is exclusive of any other amount payable to a member of the Town Council as health care benefits or reimbursement for actual and necessary expenses consistent with the Town's reimbursement policy.

2-1.4 Official Successors. ¶
Definitions .
Disaster , unavailable , and standby officers shall mean as set forth in Military and Veterans Code Section 1550.01.
War shall mean as set forth in Military and Veterans Code Section 18.
Appointments for Succession . The Town Council shall appoint three (3) standby officers (designated First, Second and
Third) for each of the five (5) members of the Town Council.
c. Procedures and Duties . The Town Council shall examine, investigate, appoint, remove, and replace standby officers in accordance with Military and Veterans Code Sections 1550.03, 1550.04 and 1550.05; and the Mayor, or in his absence, the Vice-Mayor, shall administer the oath required by Section 1550.05.
The Town Council shall file with the Secretary of State a copy of its action appointing, removing, or replacing any standby officers.
Standby officers shall have the duties and authority prescribed in Military and Veterans Code Section 1550.06.
The City Clerk shall provide each standby officer with a copy of Military and Veterans Code Division 7, Chapter 1, Article 6 Sections 1550 through 1550.1, inclusive, and of Sections 42-4.004—42-4.010, inclusive, of this Code.
d. Temporary Appointments . If all members of the Town Council, including all standby members, be unavailable, temporary standby members, if needed, shall be appointed by the supervising County or State Official.
e. Filling and Review of Appointments . At its second regular meeting in March of each year, the Town Council shall review the status of all standby appointments. The Town Council shall inquire whether three (3) standbys for each member of the Town Council are available. Vacancies for standbys shall be filled in accordance with paragraph c.
At the same time the Council shall review its designation by resolution of an alternative temporary Town of Danville Municipal Building. (Ord. #15, §1)
