12.32.010 - Buildings with separate entrances—Number required.

Any person who shall build any store, house or other building in the city having a separate entrance, shall apply to the city engineer for a number to be placed on the house, store or other building with a separate entrance, and when the house, store or other building with a separate entrance shall be completed, the owner, contractor or occupant thereof shall place in a conspicuous manner, on the front exterior of such house, store or building with a separate entrance, the number so given by the city engineer.

12.32.020 - Odd and even numbers.

On all streets and avenues the numbers of houses on the right-hand side starting from the point of beginning shall be even-numbers, and the numbers of houses on the left hand side shall be odd numbers.

12.32.030 - Regulating painting or placement of street address numbers upon streets, gutters and curbs.

No person shall paint or otherwise place address numbers upon streets, gutters or curbs without prior written approval of the owner of the property served by the number. Such written approval shall create no obligation to pay for such work unless specifically set forth therein.

12.32.040 - Violation—Penalty.

Violation of any provision of any section of this chapter shall be deemed to be an infraction. Each person convicted of a violation determined to be an infraction shall pay the following:

A. A fine not exceeding fifty dollars for a first violation;

B. A fine not exceeding one hundred dollars for a second violation of the same section within one year; and

C. A fine not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars for each additional violation of the same section within one year.
