Chapter 2.22 — BUILDING CODE APPEALS BOARD

2.22.010 - Created—Membership.¶
A building code appeals board is created, whose members shall be appointed by the mayor and approved by the town council and shall serve at the pleasure of the town council. The board shall consist of three members, one member of the town council and two members of the planning commission. Each member shall be qualified by experience and training to pass on matters pertaining to building construction.

2.22.020 - Powers and duties.¶
The board shall meet as needed to hear appeals from: (1) administrative citations relating to building, plumbing, electrical, or other similar structural or zoning issues issued pursuant to Chapter 9.05 of this code and (2) orders, decisions, or determinations made by the building official relative to the application and interpretation of Title 15 (Building and Construction) of this code. The building code appeals board shall have no authority to waive the requirements of the state building standards code.
