Chapter 2.14 — FLOOD CONTROL BOARD

2.14.010 - Created—Membership.

A permanent flood control board is created consisting of up to seven members. The town council, in its sole discretion, may require any number of Board members to have a real property interest in an area of the town that is subject to flooding to assure that property owners in flood areas are adequately represented on the board. Board members shall be appointed for staggered terms of two years. Board members shall serve at the pleasure of the town council and may be removed by the town council at any time, at the sole discretion of the town council.

The board shall provide advice, when requested to do so by the town council, concerning flooding in Corte Madera and ways to provide flood protection for the town.
