Coronado Municipal Code Ch. 56.01 Purpose and Authority

This title may be cited as the City of Coronado TraOc Code. (Ord. 1795)

The California Vehicle Code contains basic statutory provisions relating to the control of vehicles and traOc in the State of California. The Code delegates speciMc authority for local jurisdictions to further regulate vehicles and traOc by ordinance or resolution. This title of the Municipal Code covers vehicle and traOc ordinances pertaining to the City of Coronado enacted under the general authority.

A. Any operator or owner of a vehicle or bicycle to whom a citation has been issued in violation of any section of this title or any resolution relating to parking may, within 10 days of the time of issuance of the citation, pay to the Parking Citation Processing OOcer the full amount of the parking penalty, at the address indicated on the violator’s copy of the citation, in full satisfaction of such violation. The failure of owner or operator to make such payment within said 10 days shall render such owner or operator subject to the penalties provided for in Chapter 1.08 CMC.

B. The parking penalties for parking violations under this chapter shall be established by resolution of the City Council and may be amended from time to time. (Ord. 2020-08 § 3 (Exh. A), 2020; Ord. 2019 §§ 3, 4, 2011)
