5.12.010 - Definitions.¶
"Advertising Structure," "Signs," "Advertising Display," "Freeway" and "Landscaped Freeway," are defined herein as specifically set forth and defined in the Business and Professional Code of the State, and the same is adopted herein by reference.

5.12.020 - Prohibited.¶
No Advertising Display Shall be placed or maintained on Property adjacent to a section of Freeway which has been or hereafter May be landscaped as defined herein by reference if the Advertising Display is designed to be viewed primarily by Persons traveling on such landscaped section of a Freeway.

5.12.030 - Removal.¶
Any Advertising Structure or Sign which is now, or hereafter Shall be in Violation of the provisions of Section 5.12.020 hereof, Shall be removed within one Year from the effective date of the Ordinance codified in this chapter or within one Year from the date when the Project for the Landscaping of the particular section or sections of a Freeway has been completed or accepted, and the character of the section or sections has been changed from a Freeway to a Landscaped Freeway, whichever is later.

5.12.040 - Exemptions.¶
The provisions of Section 5.12.020 hereof Shall not apply to any Advertising Structure or Sign if the same is Used exclusively as follows:
A. To advertise the Sale or lease of the Property upon which such Advertising Display is placed;
B. To Designate the name of the Owner or Occupant of the Premises upon which such Advertising Display is placed, or to identify such Premises;
C. To advertise Goods manufactured, produced, or sold, or services rendered, on the Property upon which such Advertising Display is placed.

5.12.050 - Penalty for Violation.¶
Any Person violating any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, Shall be punished by fine not to exceed three hundred dollars, or by imprisonment in the County Jail not to exceed ninety Days, or by both such fine and imprisonment at the discretion of the Court.
