15.04.010 - Codes adoption.¶
The 2025 California Building Code, incorporating the "International Building Code, Volumes 1 and 2," 2021 Edition, including all appendices thereto; the 2025 California Fire Code, incorporating the "International Fire Code" 2024 Edition, including all appendices thereto; the 2025 California Wildland-Urban Interface Code, incorporating the "International Wildland-Urban Interface Code" 2024 Edition, including all appendices thereto; the 2025 California Residential Code incorporating the "International Residential Code," 2025 Edition including all appendices thereto; the 2025 California Mechanical Code, incorporating the "Californian Mechanical Code" 2025 Edition; including all appendices thereto: the 2025 California Plumbing Code incorporating the "California Plumbing Code" 2021 Edition, including all appendices thereto; the 2025 California Electrical Code including all appendices thereto; 2025 California Green Building Stand Codes; are hereby adopted by reference in their entirety and amended in Chapters 15.04, 15.06, 15.06, 15.07, 15.08, 15.09, 15.10 15.11, 15.12, 15.13 and 15.16 herein, shall comprise the Building and Construction Regulations of the City of Colton.

15.04.020 - Violations.¶
A. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, or demolish, equip, use, occupy or maintain any building or structure in the City, or cause the same to be done, contrary to, or in violation of , any of the provisions of the codes.
B. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of the code is guilty of a misdemeanor. Each day, or portion thereof, during which any such violation is committed, continued, or permitted, is a separate offense. Any such violation shall be punishable by such fines and penalties as described in Chapter 8.12 of the Colton Municipal Code.
