2.24.010 - Terms of office—Generally.

The term of office for all standing commissions, boards and committees is set for a period of two years expiring on January 31 of every odd-numbered year commencing with January 31, 1989; provided, however, terms shall be automatically extended until a successor has been appointed. The city council by affirmative vote of three members may declare the seat of any commissioner, board member or standing committee member to be vacant. Such vacant seat may thereafter be filled for the unexpired term.
