1.20.010 - Place of imprisonment.

Any person sentenced to imprisonment for the violation of any provision of this code or of any ordinance that may be adopted after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section may be imprisoned in the jail of the city or in the county jail of the county of Imperial at the discretion of the judicial officer who shall be legally empowered to impose such sentence.

1.20.020 - Expense of imprisonment in county jail.

In any case where such person as designated in Section 1.20.010 is imprisoned in the jail of Imperial County, the expense of such imprisonment shall be a charge in favor of said county and against the city.
