1.16.010 - Authority to require labor.

The legislative body may require prisoners imprisoned for violation of an ordinance to labor on public property or works within the city.

1.16.020 - Street work.

At the request of the mayor, the chief of police shall place such persons as are then confined, in charge, from day to day during working hours, of any person who is engaged in doing street work, or work such persons himself or by deputy upon any street work or park at the request of the superintendent.

1.16.030 - Hours and days of labor.

The hours of labor shall be from eight a.m. until twelve noon and from two p.m. until five p.m., Sundays and legal holidays excepted.
