B102.1 Definitions. For the purpose of this appendix, certain¶
terms are defined as follows:
FIRE FLOW. The flow rate of a water supply, measured at 20 pounds per square inch (psi) (138 kPa) residual pressure, that is available for fire fighting.
FIRE-FLOW CALCULATION AREA. The floor area, in square feet (m 2 ), used to determine the required fire flow.
