Article 22.1 — PUBLIC SCHOOL ZONE (S)

10-3-2211: PUBLIC SCHOOL ZONE CREATED: ¶
There hereby is established and created a public school zone designated as the S zone consisting of the following properties:
A. Lots 6 through 18, inclusive, of block 82, of the Beverly Hills tract;
- B. That portion of lot 1 of block 180, of the Beverly Hills tract, as shown on sheet no. 8 of the official zoning map; that portion of lot 1 of tract 4568 that is within the city;
C. Lots 1429 through 1444, inclusive, lots 1537 through 1555, inclusive, and lots 1596 through 1599, inclusive, of tract 6380; lots 1 through 3, inclusive, of tract 6935;
D. Lots 809 through 815, inclusive, lots 822 through 829, inclusive, lots 874 through 882, inclusive, lots 858 through 864, inclusive, and lots 858 through 862, inclusive, of tract 4988; the vacated portion of Arnaz Drive that abuts lots 825 through 829, inclusive;
E. Lots 843 through 844, inclusive, of tract 7710; lot 2 of tract 11964; lot E of tract 5609; lots 838 through 842, inclusive, of tract 7710. (Ord. 89-O-2075, eff. 11-16-1989)
10-3-2212: USES PERMITTED: ¶
No building, structure, improvement, or premises shall be used, and no building, structure, or improvement shall be erected, constructed, altered, enlarged, or maintained on any lot or parcel in zone S which is designed, arranged, or intended to be used for any purpose other than as follows:
A. For public educational purposes, including without limitation the purposes specified by Education Code section 40041. Such purposes, however, shall not include any residential, commercial, industrial or other nonpublic use or development on any lot or parcel, or portion thereof, determined by the governing board of the Beverly Hills Unified School District not to be needed for public school purposes unless the zoning of such lot or parcel is changed to permit such use or development in accordance with Government Code section 65852.9;
B. With respect to the properties listed in subsection 10-3-2211E of this article, those uses permitted pursuant to section 10-5-306 of this code. (Ord. 89-O-2075, eff. 11-16-1989)
