2.24.010 - Composition of fire department.¶
All fire department operations are under the direction of the fire chief, the fire chief being the fire chief of Riverside County or his or her designee.

2.24.020 - Direction of fire companies.¶
The chief of the fire department shall have the direction of all fire companies in case of fire in the city.

2.24.030 - Chief of fire department to attend fires.¶
The chief of the fire department shall attend every fire within the city.

2.24.040 - Property rescued from fire.¶
The chief of the fire department shall prevent injury to and take charge of all property rescued from fire and return the same to the owner thereof upon payment of any legitimate expense of saving and keeping the same.

2.24.050 - Inspection of building being erected.¶
It shall be the duty of the chief of the fire department to examine buildings in the process of erection and report to the chief of police any violations of the provisions of the building code of the city.
