§ 9-2.2601. Use of Premises. ¶
No person shall use any premises in any zone except as specifically permitted by the provisions of this chapter and subject to all the regulations and conditions set forth in this chapter. (Ord. 159, § 10.04; Ord. 08-730, § 10; Ord. 15-827, § 9; Ord. 16-829U, § 10; Ord. 17-844, § 6)
§ 9-2.2602. Effect of Former Laws. ¶
Any use established or conducted on or before April 7, 1971, or any building or improvement existing on or before April 7, 1971, shall not be deemed to have acquired the status of a nonconforming use by reason of the adoption of the provisions of this chapter. Any such use, building, or improvement in violation of the former zoning laws of the City, or any other statute or law, or the provisions of this chapter shall be deemed a continuing violation. § 9-2.2603. Effect of Former Convictions. ¶
Any conviction for a crime under any law which is repealed by this chapter, which crime is continued as a public offense by this chapter, shall constitute a conviction under this chapter for any purpose for which such conviction constituted a conviction under such repealed law. (Ord. 159, § 11.13)
§ 9-2.2604. Maintenance of Nuisances. ¶
Neither the provisions of this chapter nor the granting of any permit provided for in this chapter shall authorize or legalize the maintenance of any public or private nuisance. (Ord. 159, § 70.04)
§ 9-2.2605. Violations; Penalties. ¶
The violation of any provisions of this chapter, or of any approval, conditional use permit, or variance granted pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, shall be punishable as set forth in Chapter 2 of Title 1 of this Code.
