§ 9-2.1550. Adoption of the California State Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance. ¶
The California State Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance, codified at Chapter 2.7 of Title 23 of the California Code of Regulations, and any amendments thereto, is hereby adopted by reference, and shall be known and may be cited as the Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance of the City of Artesia. One copy of the California State Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance shall be filed in the office of the Planning Department. (Ord. 15-826, § 3)
§ 9-2.1551. Conflict of Laws. ¶
The requirements of Article 15 shall apply in addition to the applicable requirements of the Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance of the City of Artesia. In the event of any conflict between provisions of the Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance of the City of Artesia and Article 15 , the provision that contains the more stringent landscaping water efficiency requirement(s) shall control. § 9-2.1552. Authority to Promulgate Rules and Regulations. ¶
The City Manager, or designee, shall have the power and authority to promulgate rules and regulations for the implementation and enforcement of provisions of Article 15 , and when duly promulgated, such rules and regulations shall be in full force and effect. (Ord. 15-826, § 3)
§ 9-2.1553. Penalties. ¶
A violation of any of the provisions of this article is punishable as provided for in Chapter 2 of Title 1 of this Code. In addition, the City Building Official may deny any project subject to this article its permit final or equivalent until the certificate of completion has been submitted, reviewed and approved by the City.
