2.08.005 - General municipal elections.¶
A. Date of Elections. Pursuant to the authority set forth in California Elections Code Section 1301(b)(1), the city shall conduct its general municipal elections on the same day as the statewide general elections beginning with the statewide general election of November 3, 1998.
B. Consolidation. The city shall consolidate its general municipal elections with those conducted by the county of Shasta. The appropriate consolidation requests will be submitted periodically by the city to the county in accordance with the procedures set forth in California Elections Code Sections 10400 et seq.
C. Effect on Terms of Office. Those city officers whose terms of office would have, prior to the adoption of the ordinance codified in this section, expired on the Tuesday succeeding the second Tuesday in April of an even-numbered year shall, instead, continue in their offices until not later than the fourth Tuesday after the day of the general municipal election, and until their successors are elected and qualified.
D. Notice to Voters. Within thirty days after this ordinance becomes effective, the city clerk will cause a notice to be mailed to all registered voters of the city informing the voters of the change in the election date and also notifying them that as a result of this change, the terms of office of some of the elected city office holders will be changed.

2.08.010 - Expense allowance.¶
Upon the submission of an itemized account, any councilman may be reimbursed for his actual and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of official duty.

2.08.015 - Compensation.¶
Each member of the city council shall receive a monthly salary in the amount authorized under California Government Code Section 36516, as it may be amended from time to time.

2.08.020 - Meetings—Dates and times.¶
The dates and times of all regular meetings of the Anderson city council shall be established by a resolution of the city council adopted in January of each year.

2.08.030 - Meetings—Place.¶
The meeting place of the city council shall be at the City Hall, 1887 Howard Street, Anderson, California, and at any other locations designated by the city council from time to time in accordance with the needs of the city upon proper notice to the public in compliance with the requirements of the Ralph M. Brown Act.
