12.08.720 - Reward payment authorized.¶
The county shall pay a reward in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any person for willfully destroying or damaging any county property. In the event two or more persons qualify for the payment of a reward, the five hundred dollars ($500.00) shall be divided equally among those qualifying.

12.08.730 - Qualifications—Action of the board.¶
A.
A person, to qualify for payment of a reward under this article, must comply with all of the following requirements:

Make a prompt report of such violation to the appropriate law enforcement agency or to the county department of public works;
C.
Give sufficient identifying information to enable the appropriate law enforcement agency to identify the violator;
D.
At all times stand ready, willing and able to sign a misdemeanor complaint charging the violator with the offense, and to testify at any judicial proceedings relating thereto;
E.
Notify the board of supervisors in writing of his claim not later than sixty (60) days following the conviction of the defendant. The notice shall contain a brief statement of the facts upon which the claim is based. The board of supervisors shall act upon the claim only after a period of sixty (60) days has elapsed from the date of the conviction.

12.08.740 - Liability for reward.¶
Any person convicted of willfully destroying or damaging property of the county shall be civilly liable for the amount of any reward paid pursuant to this article; and if he is a minor, his parent or guardian shall also be liable for the amount.
