Adelanto Municipal Code Ch. 10.10 Special Stops

The City Traffic Engineer shall erect and maintain, or cause to be erected and maintained, stop signs as provided in the Vehicle Code of the State as follows:

A. At each and every street intersecting a through street as may be so designated by ordinance or resolution of the City Council;

B. At locations within intersections, other than designated in Subsection A. of this Section, where a stop sign is required on the basis of a traffic engineering study;

C. At any railroad grade crossing where a stop sign is required on the basis of a traffic engineering study.

The driver of a vehicle emerging from an alley, driveway or building shall stop such vehicle immediately prior to driving onto a sidewalk or into the sidewalk area extending across any alleyway or driveway.
