Chapter 6.10 — RESTRICTIONS FOR BIODIVERSITY CONSERVATION AT THE WOODLAND REGIONAL PARK…

This chapter establishes restrictions on the introduction of certain animals and plants to the Woodland Regional Park Preserve, a 160-acre nature preserve located immediately east of Road 102 and south of Road 25A, which is owned and operated by the City and open to the public. These restrictions are established in order to preserve and enhance the protection and conservation of the unique flora and fauna of the Woodland Regional Park Preserve. (Ord. 1724, 10/15/2024)

• A. No dogs, horses, or other domesticated animals are permitted on the premises of the Woodland Regional Park Preserve, except for: (1) service animals as defined for purposes of the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act that are maintained on leash; and (2) grazing livestock and livestock guard dogs used specifically for vegetation management that conducted by or under the supervision of the City of Woodland.

• B. No terrestrial and/or aquatic animals or organisms of any type may be released on the premises of the Woodland Regional Park Preserve, unless such release is conducted by or under the supervision of the City of Woodland.

• C. No terrestrial and/or aquatic plants, seeds, or other propagules may be dumped or introduced onto the premises of the Woodland Regional Park Preserve, unless such introduction is conducted by or under the supervision of the City of Woodland.

• D. No removal or cutting of vegetation located on the premises of the Woodland Regional Park Preserve is permitted, unless conducted by or under the supervision of the City of Woodland.

Violations of any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as an infraction, punishable as set forth in Section 1.08.070 of this municipal code.
