2.08.010 Meetings--Time.¶
The city council of the city shall hold regular meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month, at the hour of six p.m. The date or hour for regular meetings may be changed from time to time by the city council by resolution. 2.08.020 Meetings--Place.¶
The address for the City Hall of the city is designated as 746 8th Street, in the city of Wasco, county of Kern, state of California, and all meetings of the city council shall be held therein unless otherwise designated by the city council by motion or resolution adopted prior thereto at a regular or special meeting, or as designated in the call for special meeting as provided by statute. (Ord. 308 §1, 1984; Ord. 146 §1, 1969; Ord. 12 §2, 1946).
2.08.030 Salary--Health insurance benefits.¶
A. Each member of the city council of the city shall receive a salary in the amount of three hundred dollars per month.
B. Each councilmember shall receive health insurance benefits from the city except for any councilmember who declines coverage by written notice to the city. (Ord. 698 §1(a), 2018; Ord. 673 §1(a), 2016; Ord. 621 §1, 2012; Ord. 445.5 §1, 2000; Ord. 192 §1, 1974).
2.08.040 Signing instruments.¶
A. The city council, by ordinance or resolution, may designate who is required to sign all warrants drawn on the city treasury or city funds.
B. The city council, by ordinance, resolution or minute action, may designate who shall execute on behalf of the city all written contracts or conveyances.
C. If there is no indication, by ordinance, resolution or minute action, who is authorized to execute a document on behalf of the city, then the mayor shall execute such document after it has been approved by the city council.
D. The city clerk shall sign certifications of authenticity and similar attestations bearing the official seal of the city. The mayor shall sign all other documents which bear the Wasco city seal. (Ord. 465 §1, 2002).
