Section R105.2 item 1 is amended to read as follows:

One-story detached accessory structures, provided that the floor area dies not exceed 120 square feet (11.15 m[2 ] ) and the story height does not exceed 11 feet 7 inches.

Section R105.2 item 2 is amended to read as follows:

Fences meeting all the following

Not exceeding 7 feet

Not used as a pool, spa or hot tub barrier

When constructed of concrete or masonry shall not exceed 4 feet in height above adjacent finished grade level.

Section R105.3.2 is amended to read as follows:

Section R105.3.2 Time limitation of application. An application for a permit for any proposed work shall be deemed to have been abandoned 180 days after the date of filing, unless such application has been pursued in good faith or a permit has been issued; except that the building official is authorized to grant one or more extensions of time for additional periods not exceeding 180 days each. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated. However, at the discretion of the building official, an application shall not be extended more than two times if this code or any other pertinent code, law or ordinance has been adopted subsequent to the date of application. A new application shall be submitted and corresponding fees shall be paid when an application has expired.

Section R105.5 is amended to read as follows:

Section R105.5 Expiration. Every permit issued shall become invalid unless the work on the site authorized by such permit is commenced within 12 months after its issuance, or if the work authorized on the site by such permit is suspended or abandoned for a period of 180 days after the time the work is commenced. The building official is authorized to grant, in writing, one or more extensions of time, for periods not more than 180 days each. The extension shall be requested in writing and justifiable cause demonstrated. However, at the discretion of the building official, a permit shall not be extended more than two times if this code or any other pertinent code, law or ordinance has been adopted subsequent to the date of application. A new permit shall be obtained and corresponding fees shall be paid when a permit has expired.
