9.11.010 - Purpose.¶
The purpose of this chapter is to enable the county to recover its costs for rendering emergency medical aid and rescue services in the county to nonresidents of the county.

9.11.020 - Findings.¶
The county board of supervisors finds as follows:
A. The Tehama County fire department responds to rescue calls and provides rescue and emergency medical services.
B. The recipients of such rescue and emergency medical services frequently are not residents of Tehama County.
C. The county has not recovered the costs for rendering such rescue and emergency medical services for nonresidents of Tehama County.

9.11.030 - Authorization.¶
The county is authorized to provide rescue services and emergency medical services pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 13861 and 13862. The county is authorized to charge a fee to cover the cost of such service pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 13916.

9.11.040 - Amount of fee.¶
The fee for services rendered in an emergency rescue or medical service call shall be four hundred thirty-two dollars per incident. The fee shall be divided among all responsible parties; there shall be an additional thirty-seven dollar processing fee per billed party.

9.11.050 - Annual adjustment by board of supervisors.¶
The fee imposed pursuant to this chapter shall be reviewed annually by the board of supervisors beginning with July 1, 1997. The fee may be set no higher than the previous year's cost per incident as calculated by the Tehama County fire department using annual costs divided by total annual incidents.

9.11.060 - Who shall pay fee; waiver.¶
A. Only non-residents of Tehama County shall be charged this fee; residents of Tehama County shall not be charged this fee.
B. "Residents" means a person who resides within the borders of Tehama County. This includes residents of the city of Red Bluff, city of Tehama, city of Corning, Capay Fire District and the Gerber/Las Flores Community Services District.
C. The board of supervisors may adopt a resolution setting forth provisions for waiver of the fee.
