2-6-1: PERMIT REQUIRED; INSURANCE:

Any person who intends to use a public street, sidewalk, alley, or any other City property or portion thereof for the purpose of erecting a public protection fence, railing or walkway in connection with any construction project; or who intends to store construction materials, or who intends to perform any work on or from any such property shall first procure street use permit by making application therefor to the City, paying a street use permit fee in the sum of two dollars fifty cents ($2.50) and filing a certificate of liability insurance and property damage insurance with the City in the following minimum amounts:

(A) Bodily injury or death, one person twenty five thousand dollars ($25,000.00).

(B) Bodily injury or death, two (2) or more persons fifty thousand dollars ($50,000.00).

(C) Property damage to City property or others ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00).

The requirements of this Section may be waived in the case of an owner-builder desiring to make improvements in a residential area when in the opinion of the Building Inspector no particular hazard exists. (Ord. 217, 4-18-1955)
