10.32.010 - Authority—Five-ton limit.¶
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 35701 of the Vehicle Code, the city council is authorized and empowered, in its discretion, to establish rules and regulations by ordinance, prohibiting the use of certain streets within the city by any commercial vehicle, or by any vehicle which exceeds a maximum gross weight of five tons.

10.32.020 - Streets designated.¶
Except as set forth in this chapter, no person shall park, operate or drive any vehicle which exceeds the maximum gross weight stated in Section 10.32.010 on any of the following streets if appropriate signs are erected thereon:
A. Railroad Avenue from the intersection with East Tabor southwest to the limits of the city;
B. Humphry Drive;
C. Worley Road, south, from the limits of the city;
D. Blossom Avenue, south, from the limits of the city;
E. Canvasback Drive;
F. Pintail Drive;
G. Merganser Drive;
H. Snow Drive;
I. Woodlark Drive;
J. Village Drive;
K. Marina Boulevard;
L. Alder Street;
M. Denverton Street;
N. Florida Street;
O. Louisiana Street;
P. Cordelia Street;
Q. Main Street.

10.32.030 - Posting.¶
The city traffic engineer is authorized and directed to cause appropriate weight limit signs, indicating that any vehicle which exceeds a maximum gross weight limit of five tons is prohibited, to be erected and posted in the proper places on each street affected.

10.32.040 - Exceptions.¶
The provisions of this chapter shall not prohibit any vehicles coming from an unrestricted street having ingress and egress by direct route to and from a restricted street when necessary for the purpose of marking pickups or deliveries of goods, wares and merchandise from or to any building or structure located on the restricted street or for the purpose of delivering materials to be used in the actual and bona fide repair, alteration, remodeling or construction of any building or structure upon the restricted street for which a building permit has previously been obtained. Nor shall it prohibit any vehicle from going to and from its place of business or its primary location for storage and repair. Nor shall it apply to any vehicle which is subject to the provisions of Sections 1031 and 1036, inclusive, of the Public Utilities Code.
