§ 2.03.010. Policy.¶
State law (commonly known as AB 1234) requires mandatory ethical training on all elected local officials and those Commissions eligible to receive a stipend or reimbursement.
Each Commissioner to which this chapter applies must receive two hours training in ethics within the first year of his/her appointment and, thereafter, must receive two hours of ethics training every two years.
The City will endeavor to provide this training live, and Commissioners are strongly encouraged to attend the live training in order to have interaction with, and to ask questions of, the presenter. The training may, however, also be taken online.
Failure to meet this training requirement within the applicable timeframe is cause for removal.
