§ 16.06.010. California Electrical Code adopted.

Except as provided in this chapter, the California Electrical Code, 2025 Edition, based on the 2023 National Electrical Code as published by the National Fire Protection Association, is hereby adopted and shall be and become the electrical code of the city of Stanton, regulating all installation, arrangement, alteration, repair, use and other operation of electrical wiring, connections, fixtures and other electrical appliances on premises within the city.

§ 16.06.020. California Electrical Code amended.

Article 310.11 Continuous Inspection of Aluminum Wiring is added to read as follows:

Article 310.11 Continuous Inspection of Aluminum Wiring. Aluminum conductors of No. 6 or smaller used for branch circuits shall require continuous inspection by an independent testing agency approved by the Building Official for proper torqueing of connections at their termination point.
