§ 3.16.010. Regular full-time appointments.¶
Unless otherwise provided, all appointments shall be made by the appropriate appointing authority.
A. Appointments filling regular authorized positions in the classified service shall be considered probationary appointments.
B. A permanent employee who is promoted shall serve a probationary period in the new classification.
C. If an employee fails the probationary period, such employee shall be restored to a position in the former classification position in the department from which they promoted unless the employee is terminated for good cause.

§ 3.16.015. Other appointments and probationary requirements.¶
All other appointments and probationary requirements shall be administered in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth in the personnel manual unless otherwise provided by law or MOU.
