Sec. 2-21.01. - Establishment and maintenance of the County Museum.

Pursuant to Section 5120 of the Public Resources Code of the State, the Board hereby declares its intention to establish and maintain a County Museum.

Sec. 2-21.02. - Cooperation with other agencies in the operation and maintenance of the…

The Board may cooperate with other governmental agencies, universities, colleges, schools, societies, or individuals in the operation and maintenance of the County Museum. The Board may conduct or allow lectures, entertainments, receptions, and meetings in the furtherance of the interests of the museum for the purpose of acquainting the public with materials or exhibitions in the museum or in order that the educational advantages offered by the museum may be widely distributed. The Board may enter into agreements with various entities or agencies, including the County Historical Society, in order to carry out the provisions of this chapter.

Sec. 2-21.03. - Membership in associations.

The Board may become associated with other governmental agencies, associations, societies, or persons in any society, association, or conference for the purpose of promoting the County Museum and the objects advanced by the museum. The Board may send a representative to any meeting of any such society, association, or conference.
