Sec. 3-4.1401. - Private roads serving commercial establishments.¶
(a) Pursuant to the provisions of California Vehicle Code Section 21107.6, the Board of Supervisors finds and declares that there are privately owned and maintained roads, as described in subsection (c) of this section, within the County which are generally held open to the public for purposes of vehicular traffic to serve commercial establishments. The provisions of the California Vehicle Code shall apply to such roads.
(b) The provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall not apply to any road described herein on which the owner has caused to be erected a notice of such size, shape and color as to be readily legible during daylight hours from a distance of 100 feet, to the effect that the road is privately owned and maintained and that it is not subject to public traffic regulations or control.
(c) The provisions of this section shall apply to the following designated roads:
(1) Portions of Ski Park Highway, between Highway 89 and the Mt. Shasta Board and Ski Park, which are privately owned and maintained.

Sec. 3-4.1402. - Private parking facilities.¶
(a) Pursuant to the provisions of California Vehicle Code Section 21107.8, the Board of Supervisors finds and declares that there are privately owned and maintained off-street parking facilities, as described in this section, within the county that are generally held open for use of the public for purposes of vehicular parking. Sections 22350, 23103 and 23109 and the provisions of Division 16.5 (commencing with Section 38000) of the California Vehicle Code shall apply to privately maintained off-street parking facilities, except as provided in subsection (b) of this section.
(b) The provisions of subsection (a) of this section shall not apply to any off-street parking facility described herein unless the owner or operator has caused to be posted in a conspicuous place at each entrance to that off-street parking facility a notice not less than seventeen (17″) by twenty-two (22″) inches in size with lettering not less than one inch in height, to the effect that the off-street parking facility is subject to public traffic regulations and control.
(c) The provisions of this section shall apply to the following designated off-street parking facilities:
(1) Parking lots at Mt. Shasta Board and Ski Park.
