Scotts Valley Municipal Code Ch. 10.18 Vehicle Code Enforcement on Privately Owned and Maintained Streets

A. The city council finds and declares that there are privately owned and maintained streets, as set out in Section 10.18.020 of this chapter, within the city which are held open for use by the public for purposes of vehicular travel.

B. The city council further finds and declares that it is in the public interest to provide Vehicle Code enforcement on private streets open to and regularly used by the public.

The following streets shall be subject to the Vehicle Code enforcement:

Scotts Valley Square Shopping Center includes all roads located within the Scotts Valley Square Shopping Center, as well as a certain roadway located immediately adjacent to the westerly, northerly and easterly boundaries of said shopping center within those certain parcels of real property identified as Santa Cruz County assessor's parcel numbers 22-231-14, 22-231-16 and 22-231-17.

Scotts Village Shopping Center includes all roads within the center.

Scotts Valley High School, commonly referred to as 555 Glenwood Drive, includes all private roads, driveways, and parking facilities located within the Scotts Valley High School, within that certain parcel of real property identified as Santa Cruz County Assessor's Parcel Number 23-241-02.

Scotts Valley Middle School, commonly referred to as 8 Bean Creek Road, includes all private roads, driveways, and parking facilities located within the Scotts Valley Middle School, within that certain parcel of real property identified as Santa Cruz County Assessor's Parcel Number 23-561-01.

Vine Hill School, commonly referred to as 151 Vine Hill School Road, includes all private roads, driveways, and parking facilities located within the Vine Hill School, within that certain parcel of real property identified as Santa Cruz County Assessor's Parcel Number 23-101-01.

Baymonte Christian School, commonly referred to as 5000B Granite Creek Road, includes all private roads, driveways, and parking facilities located within the Baymonte Christian School, within that certain parcel of real property identified as Santa Cruz County Assessor's Parcel Number 24-041-22.

The city shall not be required to provide patrol or enforce any provision of the California Vehicle Code on any privately owned and maintained streets subject to the provisions of that code, by the ordinance codified in this chapter, except those provisions applicable to private property, other than by action under the ordinance codified in this chapter.
