10.04.010 - Twenty-five miles per hour.¶
On the basis of a traffic survey, the city council determines and finds that a prima facie speed limit of twenty-five miles per hour be established for the following named street:
Bean Creek Road for the first four-tenths of a mile running from Scotts Valley Drive westbound to approximately the first entrance of Montevalle Trailer Park.
Bethany Drive for approximately six-tenths of a mile, running from Scotts Valley Drive northbound to the Tabor Way intersection.
Whispering Pines Drive from its intersection with Mt. Hermon Road southbound approximately five-tenths of a mile to its intersection with Estrella Drive.

10.04.020 - Thirty miles per hour.¶
On the basis of a traffic survey, the city council determines and finds that a prima facie speed limit of thirty miles per hour be established for the following named streets:
A. Granite Creek Road from Highway 17 on the west to the city limits on the east;
B. Hacienda Drive, all of which is located within the city limits, running west from the intersection of Glenwood Drive to where it dead ends approximately one block south of Cadillac Drive;
C. Glenwood Drive from its intersection with Scotts Valley Drive to the northbound city limits.
D. Green Hills Road from its intersection with Glen Canyon Road northbound approximately one and three-tenths to its most northern dead end.
E. Lockewood Lane, approximately one mile, one-half of a mile which is within the city limit and one-half of which is in the county;
F. Glen Canyon Road from its intersection with Mount Hermon Road to the city limits.

10.04.030 - Thirty-five miles per hour.¶
On the basis of a traffic survey, the city council determines and finds that a prima facie speed limit of thirty-five miles per hour be established for the following named streets:
A. Mount Hermon Road for its entire length, to the city limits on the east and to the city limits on the west;
B. Scotts Valley Drive from its intersection with Mount Hermon Road, north, to the end of Scotts Valley Drive.

10.04.040 - Reserved.¶
Editorial Note: Ord. No. 173, § 4, repealed § 10.04.40 in its entirety. Formerly, said section pertained to forty mile per hour speed limit as enacted by Ord. 10T-11 § 5, adopted 1978; as amended.
10.04.050 - Speed limit where persons at work.¶
The speed limit upon any portion of a highway, street, or roadway within the city, where officers or employees of the city, or any contractor of the city or his employees, are at work on the roadway or within the right-of-way so close thereto as to be endangered by passing traffic, is twenty-five miles per hour. This section applies only when appropriate signs, indicating the limits of the restricted zone, and the speed limit therein, are placed or caused to be placed by the city engineer within four hundred feet of each end of such zone. The signs shall display the figures indicating the applicable speed limit and shall indicate the purpose of the speed restriction.
Within the authority herein granted, the city engineer shall determine, in the exercise of his sole discretion, when and under what circumstances such restricted speed zones shall be established, as well as the extent of such restricted zones, and the appropriate signage therefor.
