9.28.010 DISCHARGE OF FIREARMS.¶
No person shall fire or discharge within the limits of the city, or in any of the city parks, any cannon, anvil, gun, air gun, slingshot, pistol or other firearm, except as hereinafter provided in this chapter.

9.28.020 EXCEPTIONS TO DISCHARGE REGULATION.¶
The foregoing provisions shall not apply to peace officers using reasonable care in the discharge of their official duties or to persons using firearms in necessary self-defense, or to persons to whom a special permit shall be granted by the city council to do any of the acts prohibited by Section 9.28.010.
