Sec. A42-1. - Purpose.¶
The purpose of this Division is to codify the manner of selection of the Santa Clara County Board of Education consistent with the requirements of Education Code section 1000.

Sec. A42-2. - Manner of selection of the Santa Clara County Board of Education.¶
The members of the Santa Clara County Board of Education shall be elected for the terms and in the manner provided by state law.

Sec. A42-3. - Status.¶
The Santa Clara County Board of Education is an entity separate from the County of Santa Clara. Obligations of the Santa Clara County Board of Education shall not directly or indirectly be obligations of the County or any officials, employees, or agents of the County. The County shall not be liable for any act or omission of the Santa Clara County Board of Education.
