Chapter 28.01 — TITLE

A Zoning Ordinance establishing classifications and districts or zones and regulating therein the use of property within the City of Santa Barbara, California, defining terms used in said ordinance, adopting a zoning map, providing for the adjustment, enforcement, and amendment thereof, and prescribing penalties for its violation.

The Council of the City of Santa Barbara, California, does ordain as follows:

An Official Land Use Zoning Ordinance for the City of Santa Barbara is hereby adopted and established to serve the public health, safety, comfort, convenience and general welfare and to provide the economic and social advantages resulting from an orderly planned use of land resources, and to encourage, guide and provide a definite plan for the future growth and development of said City. This ordinance shall be known as "The Zoning Ordinance." (Ord. 3710, 1974)
