Sec. 14-451. - Adopted; purpose; copy on file.¶
(a) The housing code known and designated as the California Housing Code, 1998 Edition, (division 1, chapter 1, subchapter 1, article 5, section 32, title 25 California Code of Regulations), based on chapters 4, 5, 6, and sections 701.2 and 701.3 of the Uniform Housing Code, 1997 Edition, as published by the International Conference of Building Officials, shall become the housing code of the city, regulating and controlling the use and occupancy, location and maintenance of all residential buildings and structures within the city and is hereby adopted by the city, except as otherwise provided herein. The "Administrative Provisions of the Sanger Building Code" as detailed in section 14-6 shall apply to the administration of the housing code, and all references in the administrative provisions of the Sanger Building Code shall mean and include the housing code, as amended by this article.
(b) One copy of the Housing Code is on file in the office of the building official and is available for public review.

Sec. 14-452. - Violations.¶
No person shall erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, improve, remove, convert, demolish, equip, use, occupy, or maintain any building or structure in the city, or cause or permit the same to be done, contrary to or in violation of any of the provisions of this article.
