Sec. 14-271. - Adopted; purpose; copy on file.

(a) The 2022 California Building Standards Code (this part known as the California Historical Building Code (CHBC)(part 8)), as promulgated by the California Building Standards Commission, regulating and permitting repairs, alterations and additions necessary for the preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, moving or continued use of an historical building or structure, including appendices, is hereby adopted by the city, except as otherwise provided herein. The "Administrative Provisions of the Sanger Building Code" as detailed in section 14-6 shall apply to the administration of the California Historical Building Code and all references in the administrative provisions of the Sanger Building Code shall mean and include the California Historical Building Code, as amended by this article.

(b) One copy of the California Historical Building Code is on file in the office of the building official and is available for public review.
