Sanger Municipal Code § 14-372 Administrative provisions of the Sanger Green Building Standards Code

(a) The 2022 California Building Standards Code (this part known as the California Green Building Standards Code (part 11)), as promulgated by the California Building Standards Commission, regulating and promoting reduced construction waste, make buildings more efficient in the use of materials and energy, and reduce environmental impact during and after construction, including referenced standards and appendices, is hereby adopted by the city, except as otherwise provided herein. The "Administrative Provisions of the Sanger Building Code", as detailed in section 14-6 shall apply to the administration of the California Existing Building Code and all references in the administrative provisions of the Sanger Building Code shall mean and include the California Existing Building Code, as amended by this article.

(c) One copy of the California Existing [Green] Building [Standards] Code" is on file in the office of the building official and is available for public review.

The applicable provisions of chapter 1 of the California Green Building Standards Code shall hereafter be collectively referred to as the "Administrative Provisions of the Sanger Green Building Standards Code". Whenever there exists a conflict between the applicable provisions of the administrative provisions of the Sanger Green Building Standards Code and chapter 1 of the California Building Code, or chapter 1 of the California Residential Code, or chapter 1 of the California Plumbing Code, or chapter 1 of the California Mechanical Code or article 089 of the California Electrical Code, the applicable provisions of the administrative provisions of the Sanger Building Code shall apply.
