Sanger Municipal Code § 14-331 Adopted; purpose; copy on file

(a) The 2022 California Building Standards Code (this part known as the California Existing Building Code (part 10)), as promulgated by the California Building Standards Commission, regulating and promoting public safety and welfare by reducing the risk of death or injury that may result from the effects of earthquakes on existing unreinforced masonry bearing wall buildings, including referenced standards and appendices, is hereby adopted by the City of Sanger, except as otherwise provided herein. The "Administrative Provisions of the Sanger Building Code" as detailed in section 14-6 shall apply to the administration of the California Existing Building Code and all references in the administrative provisions of the Sanger Building Code shall mean and include the California Existing Building Code, as amended by this article.

(b) One copy of the California Existing Building Code is on file in the office of the building official and is available for public review.
