10-2500 - DESIGNATION BY RESOLUTION.¶
Pursuant to the authority granted in section 21101 and Section 21354 of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, the Board of Supervisors does hereby declare that any County Highway or a portion thereof within the County may and shall be designated as a through highway when the Board shall have by resolution designated such County Highway or a portion thereof as a through highway and shall have caused the same to be posted as hereinafter provided.

10-2501 - STOP SIGNS; PLACING AND MAINTENANCE.¶
When any County Highway or any portion thereof shall have been designated as a through highway as provided in section 10-2500, the San Joaquin County Department of Public Works shall erect and maintain thereon such stop signs, semaphores or other traffic control signaling devices as specified by the Board as being necessary for the public safety and the ordinary and efficient use of the through County Highway by the public.

10-2502 - EXCEPTIONS.¶
(a) No part of any County Highway which lies within any incorporated town or city in the County shall be designated as a through highway by this chapter.
(b) No portion of a County Highway shall be designated as a through highway requiring vehicles traveling on any State Highway to stop at the intersection of said County Highway, and no signs shall be erected requiring vehicular traffic traveling on said State Highway to stop before entering or crossing said County Highway at such intersection unless and until permission has been obtained therefor from the State Department of Public Works.
