8.08.010 - Warnings required.¶
Any person or entity who owns, operates, manages, leases or rents a premises offering for sale or dispensing for consideration to the public any alcoholic beverage, including beer and wine, shall cause a sign or notice to be posted or displayed at the premises in the manner provided for in this section. The warning or notice shall read as follows:
WARNING: DRINKING WINE, BEER AND OTHER ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES DURING PREGNANCY CAN CAUSE BIRTH DEFECTS. FOR INFORMATION AND MATERIALS RELATING TO FETAL ALCOHOL SYNDROME, CONTACT YOUR LOCAL MARCH OF DIMES.

8.08.020 - Placement of warning signs.¶
A warning sign or notice required by Section 8.08.010 shall be placed as follows:
A. Counter Sale. Where the sale and dispensing of alcoholic beverages to the public is primarily provided through over-the-counter service, at least one (1) sign shall be placed to insure that it is readable from all counter locations available to the public.
B. On-Site Sale. Where the sale and dispensing of alcoholic beverages to the public is primarily provided for on-premises consumption by the public at tables and served by food or beverage service persons, at least one (1) sign shall be placed to assure that it is readable by the public entering the premises. In the alternative, signs smaller than ten (10) inches wide by ten (10) inches long may be displayed at each of the tables, provided that the signs are as readily visible and readable as the materials provided to the public which list food and beverage prices.

8.08.030 - Signs in other languages.¶
In the event a substantial number of the public patronizing a premises offering for sale or dispensing wine, beer or other alcoholic beverages uses a language other than English as a primary language, any sign or notice required by this chapter shall be worded both in English and the primary language or languages involved.
