15.56.010 - Established.

A. .....All development hereafter undertaken shall pay a sum as set forth hereunder as a fee charged for the purpose of defraying the actual or estimated cost of constructing planned drainage facilities within the area from which the fees comprising the fund were collected, or to reimburse the City for the cost of engineering and administrative services to form the district and design and construct the facilities. The City may accept consideration in lieu of the payment of fees.

B. .....Fee amounts shall be:

Fee Sub-Area Fee Per Gross Acre
Prima Deshecha Canada $5,633.00 per acre
Segunda Deshecha Canada, including Tributary to San Mateo Creek $3,409.00 per acre
Marblehead Coastal $1,650.00 per acre
All other areas $ 600.00 per acre

15.56.020 - Purpose.

Funds collected hereunder shall be deposited into a planned local drainage facilities fund and are intended to be used for construction of facilities in accordance with the Storm Drainage and Flood Control Element of the General Plan of the City.

15.56.030 - Time for payment.

The charges as outlined above shall apply to all property and shall be due and payable as follows:

A. New Subdivisions. Upon the filing and prior to the acceptance of a final subdivision map.

B. Other Development. At the time of issuance of a building permit by the City department having jurisdiction thereof for nonsubdivision development or where a final subdivision map was approved prior to the effective date of this chapter.
