15.24.010 - Numbering houses and structures.

A. .....Addressing of all structures in the City shall conform to this section. Addressing of all structures shall be in conformity with the numbering system as shown on records retained in the Building and Planning Department of the City. All new addresses shall be assigned by such Building and Planning Department. All address numbers shall be located on the structure or if not practical, in such a location so that they are clearly visible and readable from the street on which the structure fronts. All address numbers shall be a minimum of two (2) inches in height and shall be of a contrasting color to the structure.

B. .....All residential, commercial or industrial structures which contain more than one (1) unit and are addressed under one (1) number shall have each unit clearly designated with an alphabetical letter on or over the entrance to each unit. The Building and Planning Department may request that required parking be similarly marked. The Building and Planning Department may adjust the numbering or lettering system contained herein, when it is impractical to comply with this section.

C. .....All residential, commercial or industrial structures in the City which presently do not conform to this section shall be required to comply on or before March 1, 1975.
