8.56.270 - Alarm system permits.¶
The fee for an alarm system permit shall be set by resolution and shall not be prorated. Such permit issued shall expire one (1) year after said issuance. Applications for renewals of permits shall be processed in the same manner as applications for the initial permit.

8.56.280 - Application for permit.¶
Applications for an alarm permit shall be filed with the Communications Department on forms provided by the Communications Department and the applicant shall at that time pay the appropriate fee established by resolution of the City Council. The application shall be signed and verified by the applicant and shall contain such information as may be deemed necessary by the Communications Director. Permits provided for in this chapter shall be issued by the Communications Department and shall be nontransferable.

8.56.290 - Application for alarm permit investigation.¶
Upon receiving an application from any person for an alarm permit, the Communications Director or his or her authorized representative shall cause an investigation to be made of the system to be installed to determine if the system complies with the requirements of this chapter. If the proposed system complies with this chapter, the Communications Department shall cause a permit to be issued. An alarm permittee may be allowed a direct connection or digital transmission to the public safety alarm system, provided facilities are available for either connection.

8.56.300 - Alarm requirement.¶
The alarm permittee shall supply on his or her application for permit the names, addresses and phone numbers of the selling or installing alarm company or if permittee is not under service contract with an alarm business, at least two (2) persons to call in the event of an emergency.
