§ 12.0401 Establishment.¶
There is hereby created and established a Fish and Game Commission of the County of San Bernardino.

§ 12.0402 Appointment of Commission Members.¶
Said Fish and Game Commission shall consist of seven members, two from Supervisorial District No. 3, two from Supervisorial District No. 1, and one each from Supervisorial Districts No. 2, 4, and 5; all of said members shall be residents of the respective Supervisorial Districts and citizens of the United States, who shall be appointed as members to said Commission by the Board of Supervisors, evidenced by the majority vote thereof.

§ 12.0403 Term of Office.¶
The members of the Fish and Game Commission shall classify themselves by lot so that two of them shall hold office for a period of one year, two for a period of two years, and two for a period of three years; thereafter, each Commissioner appointed shall serve for a period of four years not to exceed two full terms or eight years.

§ 12.0404 Duties of Commission.¶
Said Fish and Game Commission shall be an advisory body and may make such recommendations to the Board of Supervisors as it may deem to be reasonable and necessary or advisable in matters concerned with the propagation and protection of fish and game.

§ 12.0405 Compensation of Commissioners.¶
Each member of the Commission shall receive compensation at the rate authorized in the current County Salary Ordinance for each meeting thereof attended, but not to exceed six meetings in any calendar year. Commission members shall receive actual and necessary travel expenses in the course of their duties as Commission members, such expenses to be paid on the same basis as expenses of County employees.

§ 12.0406 Officers.¶
Said Commission shall elect a Chairperson and Vice Chairperson from the members thereof, each of whom shall serve for a period of one year, and thereafter until their successors are elected. The Secretary to the Commission shall be provided by the Regional Parks Department.

§ 12.0407 Time of Meetings.¶
Meetings shall be held by said Commission at such times and places as may be determined by a majority vote of said Commission.

§ 12.0408 Authority to Regulate Commission Internal Business.¶
Said Commission may also prepare and adopt rules and regulations for the internal government of its business, subject to the approval or the Board of Supervisors.
