Article XVII — DETENTION FACILITIES IMPACT FEE

This article shall be known as the “Detention Facilities Impact Fee.” (Ord. 962, § 34, 2017)

The purpose of this article is to impose development impact fees to fund the cost of detention facilities, the need for which is generated by new development within the county. (Ord. 962, § 35, 2017)

The Detention Facilities Impact Fee shall be imposed on new development within the county in the amount of $2,614 for each single family residence, $2,395 for each multi-family residence, $0.504 per square foot of commercial development, $0.383 per square foot of office development, and $0.226 per square foot of industrial development. (Ord. 962, § 36, 2017)

No building permit shall be approved or issued for property within the county unless the development impact fee for that

property is paid as required by this article. (Ord. 962, § 37, 2017)
