§ 3.05.100 CREATION.

The Fish and Game Advisory Commission is established under the authority of Cal. Gov’t Code § 31000.1. (1966 Code, § 2-43) (Ord. 379, § 1(part))

§ 3.05.101 MEMBERSHIP.

The Commission shall consist of ten members, residents of the county each of whom shall be familiar with fish and game within the county and appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Each Supervisor shall nominate two persons who may reside within the Supervisor’s district to serve on the Commission. (1966 Code, § 2-44) (Ord. 379, § 1(part))

§ 3.05.102 TERMS OF OFFICE.

Each member shall serve for a term of four years commencing on April 1 of the year in which the member’s nominating supervisor begins a full term. (1966 Code, § 2-45) (Ord. 379, § 1(part))

§ 3.05.103 POWERS AND DUTIES.

The Commission shall make written recommendations, consistent with the policies and regulations of the California Department of Fish and Game, to the Board of Supervisors concerning expenditures from the county’s Fish and Game Propagation Fund, the fund created by Cal. Fish and Game Code §§ 13003(b) and 13100, for the propagation and conservation of fish and game and other wildlife in this county and for educational and youth activities relating to fish and game. The Commission may advise the Board of Supervisors on any matters pertaining to fish and game in the county. (1966 Code, § 2-46) (Ord. 379, § 1(part))

§ 3.05.104 ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURES.

(A) Budget. The Administrative Secretary and the County Auditor shall annually prepare a proposed estimate of anticipated revenue and expenditures, with the advice of the Commission, to be submitted to the Board of Supervisors during the county’s budget hearings. (B) Expenditures by Commission. No expenditures or requisitions for services and supplies shall be made, and no claims for reimbursement shall be submitted for payment, without the approval of a majority of the members of the Commission. The Secretary of the Commission shall be responsible for preparing and processing all expenditures, requisitions and claim. (C) Organization of Commission. The Clerk of the Board of Supervisors shall be ex officio secretary of the Commission and shall be responsible for providing secretarial assistance to the Commission.
