12.34.010 - Purpose and intent.

It is the purpose and intent of this chapter to provide for the safe use of skateboard parks. This chapter is adopted pursuant to Health and Safety Code Section 115800.

12.34.020 - Safety equipment required.

Any person using a city skateboard park for skateboarding, in-line skating, rollerblading, rollerskating, or in any other manner, shall wear a helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads.

12.34.030 - Type and adequacy of the safety equipment.

The helmet, elbow pads, and knee pads shall be of the type routinely sold in commercial outlets for use as skateboard, in-line skate, rollerblade, or bicycle safety equipment. The adequacy of the safety equipment used shall be in the sole discretion of the director of community services, or his or her designee, whose decision shall be final.

12.34.040 - Violation.

Any person who violates any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction.
