2.36.010 - Appointment—Tenure—Roster.¶
A. The members of all city commissions and boards shall be appointed by the mayor with the consent of the council.
B. Appointments shall be made for fixed terms or, where a vacancy occurs, for the remainder of the term of the person vacating the office.
C. No appointment shall create tenure in the person appointed, and any appointee may be removed by the mayor with the consent of the council, with or without cause.
D. The clerk shall maintain a roster of all appointees showing their names, the office to which they have been appointed, the term of appointment and the date of the beginning and of the end of the term of appointment.

2.36.020 - Resignation upon termination of residency.¶
Whenever under this code residency within the city is required for membership on any board or commission, termination of residency within the city by a member of the board or commission shall be conclusively deemed an automatic and immediate resignation by that member from, and the creation of a vacancy on, the board or commission without action by the mayor or council.
